I had been testing colour gradients in the Etude series, wondering how the film would reflect colour-wise with such. Taking the theme of Winter Solstice, I created gradients on the faces of the rectangular solid and the space behind it. I applied film to the three faces. 

Again, the sense of space is ambiguous. In this case, the horizontal string can be read as a horizon creating a landscape effect with its associated sense of space.
