Title: Learning To Live With The Square
Media: Acrylic, interference film on paper mounted on panel
Dimensions: 29.5"x22.25"
Finish Date: August, 2004
Commentary:

Up to this point, I had found the square appearing in almost everything I tried. That annoyed me greatly. In this work, I consciously accepted the fact that the square is firmly embedded into my psyche. Also in this work, I used the newfound interference film for the first time.

When working with paper, I like torn, ragged edges. Interference film, having a plastic substrate, cannot be torn. I tried to compensate for the necessary cut edges, but the spontaneity is missing.
